If you’ll be a part of ZIMS you will also have plenty of time to explore Zagreb and see most of its attractions. One of the first things you have to see are the three best known streets: Ilica, Tkalčićeva and Opatovina. Ilica is the longest street in Zagreb with plenty of shops. Tkalčićeva is the biggest tourist street in Zagreb and it never sleeps. If you really love beer, the street next to Tkalča is ideal for you. Opatovina is full of small pubs serving craft beers from around the world. If you want more info about the clubbing options, stay tuned, we’re going to write about that next week.

If you are a coffee freak, there are few great coffee shops around the town. In Cogito coffee roasters you can taste heavenly brews from around the world and in a small place called The Worst Coffee In Town you can get – the best cup of this beverage 😉 Hipsters also like to visit Café u Dvorištu and Botaničar – two places full of plants and positive energy. If you’d rather have an evening drink we recommend you to visit the Most Unusual Garden, also called Hendrix Gin Garden. As the name says, they serve different gins. For jazz fans there are two options – Bacchus jazz bar and Sax. There is also a bar called Rockstar which has a psychedelic skull inside a table – just for the anatomy fans. For retro lovers, Old Pharmacy Pub and Bikers Beer Factory should do the job. Vintage Industrial Bar should also be visited by those.
